working style made to measure suits

We've been tailoring one-off suits since 1987. Today Working Style is one of the few made-to-measure suit specialists in NZ able to tailor make suits and jackets with a floating canvas – the hidden interfacing that makes our suits drape so well for so long and puts our tailoring amongst the best in the world.

Tailor making a suit from scratch satisfies our urge to build things. Like architects, we relish the process of defining the brief, analysing the specifications, visualising the outcome, and then bringing the structure to life. When you happily slip on your completed suit, we feel the same rush of pride that comes with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

When getting a Working Style made to measure suit, your initial fitting and consultation will be a breeze, allow for a 30 minute fitting but take your time choosing the cloth and styling details.

Design inputs include cloth, cut, buttons, lining, trims, button holes, Milanese button holes, lapel size and pocket configuration. We’ve got NZ’s best selection of premium English and Italian cloth in stores from Ariston to Ermenegildo Zegna as well as Vitale Barberis Canonico, Drapers, Scabal and more. Additional to those, we carry an extensive selection of cloth from our ready-to-wear collections for you to get additional trousers. If you're not sure what you want, our expert tailors can help you to make good decisions that will be compatible with your suit's role in life.

Your Made to Measure suit will take approximately five weeks to construct from the date of your first consultation. Allow for 1-2 weeks extra for made to measure wedding suits, custom suits made in Italy or cloth ordered from Europe particularly around European Summer holidays.
With a 50% initial deposit custom made suits start at $1790, additional trousers or waistcoats start at $499 and tailor made jackets start at $1290.

We look forward to seeing you in store for a personal introduction to the range.
